The FAQs

You probably have a few questions. Here are the answers to my most frequently asked questions about my weekly recipe suggestions.

What’s included each week?
  • 1 Breakfast
  • 3 Lunch/Dinner
  • 1 Snack, Side, Dessert, or Beverage
How many servings does each recipe contain?
Recipes will either be 1 serving or 4 to 5 servings.

You can always modify the recipes by halving them for less or doubling them for more.

Will my kids like it?
Yes, the majority of subscribers have kids who enjoy these meals. Everybody’s tastes are different though, so it is not guaranteed.

However, for $20 or $30 per month, it is worth a shot!

Why not seven recipes?
5 recipes is a great place to start with incorporating new meals into your week. This allows you to include some of your go-to recipes as well.
What if I don’t like a meal?
That’s okay! You can skip it, modify it, or share it with someone who may enjoy it. It’s hard to appease everyone’s tastes, but I can assure you that most of these recipes will appeal to most people. The more exposure you have to new foods, the more your tastes will expand.
What if I don’t eat gluten, dairy, or refined sugar-free?
No worries! Many subscribers don’t when they begin receiving these meals, but they soon realize just how tasty these recipes are. They quickly see that eating real, whole, unprocessed foods is a wonderfully delicious adventure!
Do you offer AIP, Whole30 or Vegan/Vegetarian Plans?
No, there are currently no specific plans available. However, there are vegetarian/vegan meals that will show up in the weekly plans. There are often notes that offer suggestions on how to make recipes vegan-friendly.
What if I need to eat nut-free or seafood-free?
In the notes section of the meal plans, there are options for substitutions. The more recipes you receive, the more you will learn how to adapt recipes to fit your dietary needs. If you have trouble with this at all, you can always reach out to me for guidance.
How much will my groceries cost?

I understand that when you start to cook more at home that your grocery bill may increase a bit, but they can also help you save money in the following ways:

  1. You aren’t eating out as often.
  2. You are using all the groceries purchased and reducing food waste.
  3. You can choose foods that are in season and local so it’s more cost-effective.

In the end, you need to decide if it is worth it to you to pay for your health now by eating to prevent disease OR pay for it later in hospital bills and prescriptions to try to overcome a health struggle. It’s all in the way you look at it.

What is the cancellation policy?

Meal plan subscriptions can be canceled at any time by logging into your account and confirming your cancellation.

Canceled monthly plans will end after the completion of the month for which you last paid and annual plans will end after the completion of the year for which you last paid.

When do I get my first meal plan?

You will automatically get your first meal plan to your email when you sign up and submit your payment. All other meal plans will come to your inbox every Friday with a note from Danie.

The emails are going into the Promotions tab or Spam, how do I fix this?

This tends to happen particularly with Gmail accounts, but in any case, please add to your approved contacts.

For Gmail users, to prevent emails from hitting your promotions tab follow these steps:

  1. In Gmail, click the settings (gear) icon in the upper right corner and choose “See all settings”.
  2. Navigate to “Filters and Blocked Addresses” and click on it.
  3. Select “Create a new filter”.
  4. In the “From” field, add and then click “Create filter”.
  5. Check “Categorize as” and choose “Primary”. Then, click “Create filter”.

This filter will prevent your emails from being pushed to the Promotions tab.

Can I upgrade from a monthly subscription to a yearly subscription?
Yes! Simply log into your account and cancel your monthly meal plan subscription and then purchase the annual meal plan subscription.

When you change to the annual meal plan subscription, you will save $120 a year!
